Description
A lovely English antique ring from the 1920s with five graduated almandine garnets in closed back settings, in 9ct gold. This is such a pretty ring that sits snug to your finger, which means it is very comfortable to wear. I love almandine garnets, such a wonderful unique colour and appearance, a sort of gentle red. They are much rarer to find in rings like this, so I am sure someone will be delighted to find her.
The connected settings are scalloped, also giving it a very individual look. There are no claws to catch on your clothing, again, super easy to wear. Full hallmarks for Birmingham, England, 1923. It also bears a maker’s mark “NBS” for Nathan Brothers, who were registered in Vyse Street, Birmingham as well as in Hatton Garden, London.
In good antique condition, some of the scalloping is missing from the central stone but it is secure. It has probably been like that for many a long year. I have taken account of that in the price. She is oh so pretty and has lots of life left in her. UK size N.5 (US size 7)
I will send by international tracked and signed or else by Special Delivery within the UK. Box is for display purposes only but she will be boxed in a new ring box. Thank you!
