Description

A really lovely precisely hand-crafted Arts and Crafts ring from the c1920s era, and most likely from one of the Birmingham designers. It is such a pretty design with a centrally-set apple green chrysoprase stone. There is an openwork halo around the stone, consisting of three sectioned leaves and circular features over which are laid tiny rope work circles. It has such a delicate design and yet is wonderfully made so is sturdy and comfortable to wear.

I love the ropework feature at the base of the stone’s setting too. The essential structure of the band and face of the ring I have seen before on Bernard Instone rings so this may even have come out of his silverworks. The hand wrought silver work of the face is beautiful and I would guess it is one of the fine Birmingham craftspeople.

The size of the ring is approx UK size L.5 (US 6). In excellent condition I am pleased to say and as mentioned, is so comfortable on the finger.
I will send in a new ring gift box by complimentary tracked and signed post.
