Description
A lovely, antique piece c1920s with the original barrel fastener. It is a delicate and beautifully proportioned chain, which wears as a choker style, being approx 39.5cm (15.5 inches) long. The striking yellow of the gold (may well be higher carat than 9) against the black of the onyx beads does work so well. Onyx is known as a stone of protection, as it purportedly absorbs negative energy, taking it away from the body.
Such a sweet and elegant necklace, which would wear just as well during the day as in the evening. Super to have the original antique barrel clasp too, which works perfectly, with a definite click when closed. Weight: approx 3.3g.
