Description

A sinuous and extraordinary genuine Art Deco bracelet, c1920s, in which the chrysoprase cabochons have been individually cut by hand and tapered to give this uninterrupted chrysoprase band. The stones are dreamy, dark apple green and with that “watery” quality to them when the light gets to them. The quality of work is superlative and it is stamped as “STERLING” “GERMANY” with this most likely being Pforzheim, where the best jewellery was created.

There are 8 individually set chrysoprase panels, with the 9th being used as the catch to give that continuous flow to the piece. At the front are two large rectangular cabochons, with three more triangular tapering cabochons to either side of them. The stones are securely claw-set and there are clever little marcasite-set panels between each stone, giving the glint of light as if diamonds. The mechanics of this beautiful bracelet are superb, with each panel being hinged so that the whole bracelet moves fluidly and wraps around your wrist in such an elegant and comfortable way. She is a true Art Deco beauty!!!

The widest point of the bracelet measures approx 1.2cm and the length of the bracelet is approx 18.5cm (7.5 inches). Some patina. It sits elegantly and snugly on the wrist and looks even better when worn than the photos indicate, so I am sure she shall be loved.

I shall send in a new bracelet box (not the box in the images) and by complimentary Special Delivery within the UK or else by courier internationally. Thank you. Ref:cut
