A Sibyl Dunlop later Arts and Crafts silver citrines foliate bracelet, which is not only signed in numerous places, but which has been retained in its original Sibyl Dunlop rare bracelet box. The bracelet consists of 7 oval openwork panels in silver, which is set with an octagonal faceted citrine at its centre. At the base of each bezel setting sits a fine rope work detail. Vine leaf and coiled tendril detailing surrounds the stone on each panel.
I love that the panels are linked closely in pairs and then a longer link to the next pair-it is a lovely little touch. I also love that there is a large, solid gold clasp and safety catch, as that also makes it feel a little special. The gold tongue is stamped “S DUNLOP”. Each of the silver panels has the Lion Passant stamp for sterling silver and every alternate panel is additionally stamped with the maker’s mark “SD”.
The bracelet is in excellent order with all stones being present and correct and in lovely condition. There is some patina remaining so the bracelet would polish/ clean further. She measures approx 18.5cm (7.25 inches) in length. It wears beautifully with the Dunlop ring illustrated in the images, which is for sale separately.
It is a lovely, eye-catching bracelet, which feels very comfortable to wear too. The box is in excellent order!
I will send by Tracked and Signed post in the very rare Dunlop bracelet box shown on the images-thank you!
