Description
This is a wonderful example of a gold Victorian lover’s knot bracelet from the late 1800s, with a good weight of 15.3g. Sometimes these bracelets have the designs only on the front section, however, this example shows the design all the way around the wrist. I love the way those knot panels, set with a small turquoise, link together by those large oval gold links at the top and bottom of the panel. It makes for a very attractive design, which is both sinuous in design and comfortable to wear. It looks sensational on the wrist!
Turquoise was used to represent the forget-me-not flower (same colour) and that symbolised eternal love. The knots emphasise this theme further. A highly romantic piece of authentic Victorian jewellery.
The condition is pleasing. A new bolt ring clasp has been added in her past and there are one or two tiny spots of solder from past repairs during her life…but they are minute thankfully. She has been cleaned by my jeweller and is ready for an outing! Please do check the size-she is antique and as such, was made on the more petite side of things. The max length is 17cm (6.75 inches). She has a safety chain too. Tested fully as at least 9ct gold.
I shall send her safely stored in her own new bracelet box, by Special Delivery within the UK or else by Express courier internationally. Boxes in the images are for display only. Thank you.
