A particularly beautiful pair of genuine Art Deco statement drop earrings, which are glamorous survivors of the late roaring 1920s. They are wonderfully executed and include diamonds and emeralds.
Crafted mostly in 9ct gold, each has a bright emerald set in gold at the top of the design. A pair of diamond-set silver leaves nestles under each emerald. A long, slice of glossy black onyx is suspended below that which you would expect to be the last suspended drop, however, it is not. A really unusual feature of these fabulous earrings is the final rough diamond faceted bead that is suspended below the onyx on each earring. You really do not see these rough diamond beads too often and each twinkles like a tiny glitter ball at the bottom of each drop. These earrings really are something special.
The gold section includes the hooks and the emerald setting. Each earring contains 3 diamonds,1 emerald and 1 black onyx, making a total of 10 stones in the pair. In pleasing condition, with some minute nibbles down the long facet edges on the black onyx. Please do check the photos so you can see what I am describing. They are nearly 100 years old so it is only to be expected there will be some signs of life. However, they are minimal and these beauties are ready to come out and be admired once more. The drop height is approx 5cm. They are fine jewels that are sleek and elegant, rather than large and overtly clunky.
I will send by complimentary express international courier or else by special delivery within the UK. They will be boxed for you, although not necessarily in the box in the images as they are for display purposes. Thank you.
