I have seen this antique forget-me-not design a few times over the years and each time, I love it all over again,. The colour intensity of the blue crystal is still WOW after more than a hundred years! These drop earrings have been fitted with sterling silver wires for ease of comfort, as the old screw backs had seen much better days.
All of the marcasites and crystals are present and correct. Such a delicate flower, the forget-me-not and its colour and significance captivated the Victorians and the Edwardians This is why we see the motif in antique jewellery. The flower represents eternal love and keeping someone in your heart always.
Sweet earrings which measure approx 4.2cm in height. Pleasing condition as mentioned.
