A super pair of Edwardian earrings c1910 that have been crafted in high carat gold, minimum18 carat. They retain their original pear-shaped carnelian stone drops. They are such attractive things, not only because of the beautifully rich carnelian stones but also because of the large naturalistic flower which sits at the lobe of each ear. Wonderful antique earrings!
I love that they are not identical-the stones are organic, each different so how can they be exactly the same. Such a pleasing shape to the bottom of the teardrop-with a slight point. They both have that glossy rich orange we love with carnelian and I have to say, that they are such an opulent looking pair of earrings with the buttery yellow of the gold too. It looks as if they have been converted by a capable jeweller from screw backs to wires. They are ready to be worn and enjoyed or else gifted to someone loving high quality antique earrings. They are a joy of a find.
No marks but test as a minimum of 18ct gold. The height of each earring is approx 3.2cm. They are not too heavy so will not distort your ear when wearing them.
