Beautiful c1900 original Arts and Crafts screw back earrings, each with four oval, super sparkly, faceted amethysts in wonderful condition. Difficult to show the full extent of the exuberance of this rich purple but they are amazing things!
I have a Kate Eadie necklace with the same sort of settings on the stones. There are lots of tiny claws holding the stone securely in place and it gives a beautiful effect, contrasting with the rich plum purple of the stones.
I love the way the amethyst stones have been set in a sort of quatrefoil arrangement, catching the light and looking organic and rather flower-like.
In excellent condition, both silver work and stones. These lovely Arts and Crafts earrings will put a huge smile on someone’s face.
They measure approx 2cm by 2cm and are stamped “STERLING SILVER” on the end of each screw back cap. Lovely things!
