A lovely, large hand crafted and substantial Arts and Crafts bangle (rare in itself!) which surely is the work of one of the Scottish designers-most likely Glasgow School. I have been researching the piece as there are some very distinctive  features in the design but the nearest I came to matching these was indeed, to the designs of some of the Glasgow School designers – Mackintosh, McNair etc.

Fabulously non-symmetrical (and not exactly round), this large piece has markings all the way around the band, three hammered dots mainly but at the centre point on the outside of the band, a lovely four dotted design is used.

Beautiful scroll work and indentations (again reminiscent of Scottish A&C) has been used at the decorative centre of the bangle. All lovely -made by hand, not symmetrical but a pleasing piece which wears easily with other bracelets (see image where I have paired it with an Anton Michelsen bracelet-not included in this sale). Plenty of life left in her yet and who knows, maybe you can finally identify the maker.

Approx wearable diameter of 6.7cm- a large bangle which looks so sweet on the arm. C1900 Arts and Crafts. No markings.
