Description

A sumptuous antique Art Deco bracelet, housing the most beautifully intense cabochons of amethyst. Most probably created in the 1920s era in Germany, as 8ct gold (often stamped “333” as in this case) was used there quite a lot in the first decades of the twentieth century. It screams the Art Deco designs of the era, both in its use of those parallel strips of gold as connectors between each large cabochon and also its use of purple in these wonderful stones.

I love this bracelet- it wears so beautifully and the stones are intense with lots of interest in them, so you always have something different to look at as you move it. Each of these cabochons sits in its own lovely bezel collar setting. It retains its original tongue and box clasp fastener and safety chain, which you can unfasten if you wish to store the bracelet flat. Hurrah!

Each cabochon measures approx 13mm by approx 10mm. The gold against vivid purple of this bracelet is beautiful. All stones are in excellent order. Only notable thing to mention is that some of the double parallel bar links are not completely flat and straight. For me I would leave it 100%- all part of its history.

A beautiful, beautiful bracelet! I shall send by Tracked and Signed post, in a new gift box as all boxes in the images are for display only. Thank you.
