An attractive Celtic design Edwardian bracelet c1910, beautifully crafted in solid 9ct gold. It is stamped with the antique English stamp “9ct” on the reverse of the box clasp. It is such a lovely design which has a Celtic influence and looks like a knot on each side of the stone on each link.
These faceted peridots are set in a fine millegrain setting and are open-backed, meaning they are light, bright stones catching the light easily. The oval open work gold panels are sleek and very classical in design, and the solid, wide gold link connecting them is also beautifully constructed. A system of tiny figure-of-eight links attaches the safety chain to each side of the invisible box clasp. When fastened, it gives an “invisible” look so that the design all around the bracelet can be enjoyed without a break for the clasp. Each panel measures approx 2.3cm wide and the wearable length of the bracelet is approx 17.8cm ( a touch under 7 inches). It is not a large bracelet but a snug one so it is best to make sure it will fit. The gold work and clasp are in excellent condition. Some wear to the facets of the peridots in keeping with her age but no chips or cracks in the stones at all.
I will send in a new gift box as the boxes in the images are for display only. Complimentary tracked and signed postage is included. Thank you.
