Description
A lovely antique Edwardian, c1910, fine bracelet, crafted in 9ct white gold with these lovely navette-shaped links with the S scrolled motif inside. Beautiful pale green jade beads are threaded with gold wire between each link. What is particularly rare is that I have acquired three of these bracelets by the same maker, this one in jade, one in red coral and one in white pearls. Red, green and white – perfect for gifts for several people, as they have the design in common. The three colours also represent several countries’ flags, for example , the Italian flag. Perhaps gifts from parents to three children…lots of possibilities, which I think would be beautiful on this rare occasion of finding three Edwardian pieces together. They could also be purchased to wear together, or in variations-such an excellent chance to acquire this rarity.
The listing is for the jade bracelet, which is a wonderful, fine and classic piece of Edwardian jewellery, being more delicate in proportions and gloriously light in design, with the selected materials. The jade beads have been tested as such and the bracelet is stamped with the antique English stamp of “9CT” in various places, both on the catch and on various links.
It measures approx 17.2cm (6.75 inches) in length, typical small Edwardian size so please check it fits your dimensions. It is worn as a snug bracelet not a loose, dangly one, so that the stones all touch your skin lightly.
I will send in a new gift box by Special Delivery within the UK or International Tracked and Signed to global destinations. Thank you.
