Description
A most eye-catching vintage ring, which is substantial in size and dimensions and crafted in 14ct gold. This vintage ring is stamped with “585” and the maker’s mark, which I don’t recognise but I assume it is a carefully-crafted studio ring. It has such a unique vibe and I really have no idea why but when I tried it on, the words “Maid Marion ring” jumped to mind. That is most likely as the green tourmaline is that fabulous deep, forest green and is so vibrant. It is a large domed cabochon so there is plenty of stone to admire.
What is really rare with this design is that the main stone is flanked by a square cut pale aquamarine on each side. These three stones look wonderful together. Added to that, there is a substantial amount of gold in this ring and the band is a thick 5mm at the thinnest point. It is a chunky but sleek ring, which I think is unisex and it is also in a useful size. The green tourmaline measures approx 1.4cm in height by approx 1cm wide.
The ring is approx UK size R.5-S (US size 9). In pleasing condition with signs of light wear on the gold and stone commensurate with its age. Ready to wear or else to gift!
I shall send in a new gift box and send by Tracked and Signed delivery within the UK, by courier internationally. Thank you.
