A truly sumptuous amethyst Arts and Crafts cuff bracelet with real impact. The huge c1930 gem-studded clasp in silver gilt shows all of the lovely Dorrie Nossiter details you would expect to find in her work. What is pleasing is that all stones are present and undamaged, even those sparkly, large, faceted amethysts. There are the usual gold ball details dotted around the design too and there is no escaping the fact that the colours used in this impressive piece are the Suffragette colours of purple, green and white.
When I acquired this beautiful clasp, she had long since lost her beads, so a team of talented jewellers in London restored the bracelet, using a gorgeous antique amethyst necklace I had. The beads were all salvaged and rethreaded securely using individual knots between each bead to reinstate this three-strand bracelet to her former glory. The work is wonderful and the silver gilt clasp is the same size as some Dorrie brooches you see- such a statement piece. It is laden in jewels, every mm of space, with amethysts, peridots, pastes and tiny pearls.
This is such a statement bracelet that not only does it bring joy to you as you wear it, but others are sure to notice it too. I hope its beauty does come across in the images, as she is a lovely thing. The main jewelled clasp measures approx 4cm by 3.4cm and the length of the bracelet is 18cm. It is worn as a fixed jewel, with no slack in the bracelet, so please check that 18cm will fit for you. I do have some spare amethyst beads if you decided to adapt to your size and I am happy to include them. There is the original silver gilt safety arm that hooks over to further secure the bracelet when worn.
I will send in a new gift box as the boxes in the images are for display only. Complimentary courier internationally or else Special Delivery within the UK. Thank you. Ref:ctg.
