These are fine and wonderful vintage snake drop earrings of such beautiful design. They are crafted in 18ct white gold and are set with approx 1.4ct of sparkling natural white diamonds. With the two separately diamond-set sections to the earrings, there is fabulous articulation when you wear them. The first section that sits at the lobe, is set with 8 diamonds. A link then attaches the long snake links that are suspended below They are such statement earrings and yet are simple and elegant enough for a whole range of occasions from formal to everyday wear.
I have seen similar earrings but generally not set in 18ct gold (like these) or else the carat weight of the diamonds is much smaller than this pair, which is approx 1.4ct in total. I also think the design of these earrings is more contemporary; classic in their simplicity. It means you see each of those light, bright diamonds and the earrings really catch the light superbly. The snake symbol is such a popular one in jewellery today and I see the attraction immediately in this pair of earrings, having the winding, sinuous drops which really look so flattering when worn.
They are fitted with sturdy posts and hand-made 18ct white gold butterfly backs which are also substantial. The height of the earrings is approx 5.2cm. Stamped “750” for 18ct gold (both earrings and backs). Gorgeous things in super condition and ready to adorn someone in the most sensational way.
