Description
These are a sumptuous and rare pair of antique earrings, very reminiscent of the Georgian taste and perhaps dating from the c1910 Edwardian era. They are fabulous things and are sure to be whisked away quickly to their new home. Such a beautiful design, fitted with gold wires as well as each of the links throughout the design also being crafted in gold.
At the lobe sits a wonderful forget-me-not flower with a diamond paste at its centre and 8 tiny aquamarine pastes in a halo around it. The central link in each drop is a suspended pair of leaves, dotted with three diamond pastes. The final part of the drop is so very impressive. It is a large pear-shaped aquamarine paste, superbly cut and laid on foil, so there is such a vivacious quality to it. Finishing pastes to this level of beauty is an art in itself, so that is an indication of the quality of these fabulous earrings. The closed-back settings (very Georgian in style) are deep and there is an engraved edging to the top of each.
Amazingly, they are in superb condition, each stone present and correct and no wear visible at all, even on the large aqua pastes. The silver and gold has been tested. Height of the drop is approx 4cm from the top of the flower to the bottom of the drop. These are just exquisite earrings!
I will send in a new gift box (not the box in the images) by Special Delivery within the UK or else by international courier. Thank you.
