Beautiful Victorian design earrings

Description

A lovely pair of 9ct gold Victorian revival English vintage earrings, which are vibrant in their use of Siberian amethysts for that intense Royal purple colour and also in the diamonds set at cardinal points to really elevate the sparkles and “special” feel of the earrings even further. A beautiful drop design, positioning a claw-set Siberian amethyst at your lobe, with the shield-shaped plaque section suspended below it.

The suspended plaque design is very in keeping with the Victorian ideals. There is an openwork design, studded with tiny gold balls on the outer form. A centrally set amethyst is claw-set and four diamonds surround it. They are beautiful things, created in England. There is the tiniest hallmark along the posts of each earring and I am sure there is a maker’s stamp, although it is too tiny to read. They would have been created approx 50-60 years ago, very much with the Victorian design taste in mind.

The height of each earring is approx 2.6cm. They are well-constructed earrings and even the butterfly backs have been crafted by hand. In pleasing condition and ready to wear. They are gorgeous things.

I shall send in a new gift box to keep them safe and will send by special delivery within the UK or else by international tracked. Boxes in the images are for display only-thank you.
