An eye-catching vintage ring, not least because of the fact that the topaz is such a star performer. What a beautiful colour – perhaps the most fabulous topaz I have ever come across. This is an impressive, statement ring, with full UK hallmarks for 9ct gold. Difficult to see the marks for the precise year but I assume 1980-1990. A large stone, beautifully cut at approx 20mm by 15mm, which calculates as around 14ct I believe…..a glitteringly, impressive stone.
I love the way the stone fills it setting so that it sits fairly close to your skin. Held in place by four sets of double claws, the stone is undoubtedly the star performer of this ring. An elegant and simple setting and band allow the sumptuous stone to speak for itself. An oval faceted stone that bounces light around, as you can see. It measures as approx UK size M.5 (US 6.5 approx). In overall pleasing condition, with a teeny tiny fleabite from the facet edge on the underneath of the stone. It would polish out if you preferred to ask your jeweller, although I would wear as is. She’s a beauty…..and if you love the vibrancy and clarity of quality topaz stones, you will not be disappointed with this lovely thing. Weighs approx 6g.
