Description

A lovely, petite and oh so wearable 1930s brooch by Bernard Instone, which bears his maker’s mark on a little plaque to the verso. Instantly recognisable, I love that this example is not too large but on the more petite side with bright, vibrant pop-out colours on the enamel. The enamel is in excellent condition which is very pleasing. The colours remind me of a winter palette with the lustrous white and the mid blue just touching the edges of each petal.

Made in the 1930s, Bernard’s enamel flowers brooches came in various designs and colours. This is the first time I have seen this particular colourway and with the central faceted amethyst paste, it really makes an elegant and simple statement.

It measures approx 5.6cm in height and would be just the perfect size to wear as a pendant too. In pleasing condition with enamel intact. Some patina which would polish away if you prefer.

I will package in a new gift box for you and send by special delivery within the UK or else by International Tracked. Thank you.
