A fabulous pair of well-constructed Art Deco c1930 so-called “torpedo” drop earrings in gold and onyx. They are fitted with 9ct gold posts too, with stamped butterfly fasteners. They are a stunning piece of Art Deco design.
I adore the fact that these torpedos are slim and long, rather than the squatter version, as they look so much sleeker and attractive when worn. Each earring has a small gold ball sitting at the lobe, then the torpedo in onyx graduating to the wider and rounder end. What makes these a little bit more special is that they have a wide gold band near the end of each onyx torpedo, which simply emphasises the Art Deco design even more.
The total drop of each earring is approx 4cm and they are in pleasing order. They are just a classic design and such a simple, yet dramatic statement.
I will send in a new gift box as the boxes in the images are for display only. Complimentary tracked and signed post is included. Thank you.
