Description
A lovely design on this striking Art Nouveau era enamel pendant, which is of a typical wing design with the large areas on the pendant being decorated in a rather beautiful light blue guilloche enamel. The sinuous Art Nouveau lines cutting through the design are set with tiny seed pearls in 6 places. The central blister pearl is mille grain set and retains a lovely, creamy lustre. The small faux pearl drop completes the pendant beautifully.
The theme of the pendant is about everlasting / eternal love with the forget-me-not colour reference and the pearls, both used frequently in the early years of the 1900s. The original chain is present. The enamel is in pristine condition too, which is a treat to find. The necklace retains some patina, especially to the verso but it will polish further if you so desire.
The winged pendant section measures approx 3.2cm wide by approx 3.2cm in height. The chain measures approx 42cm (16.5 inches) in length, which puts it sitting at your collarbone-perfect when wearing a blouse or shirt.
