Description

A lovely and very unusual Art Deco choker, c1930s, which displays a large barrel piece of carnelian, capped at both ends and presented in horizontal orientation. The way the carnelian stone sits at the throat is just beautiful.

The stone warms quickly and so feels comfortable next to your skin. It is a large, interesting piece of stone with that warmth of colour we associate with carnelian. It has a little wear but nothing unusual-all in keeping with its age.

The juxtaposition of the cool silver against the warmth of the orange stone is lovely! The chain fastens in a kind of S type of fastener. No marks or stamps but for the era, that is nothing unusual at all.

The pendant section measures approx 4.4cm including the two end loops. The wearable length of the necklace is approx 37cm (14.5 inches) so the stone sits right at your throat-most flattering design.

I will include in a new gift box as the box in the images is for display purposes only. Thank you!
