Description

I loved this ring as soon as I saw it. It is a rare find, as the red stone in these antique Austro Hungarian rings was usually garnet, however, this is a lovely ruby cabochon. It is the first of its kind with a ruby that I have come across. The red, green and white theme is completed by emeralds and split pearls. A beautiful ring that has been cleaned by my jeweller to show off the stones to their best.

The round central ruby cabochon has a silver flower motif at the cardinal points, as well as a square cut emerald. In between the emeralds are small split pearls. The band, typically for these Austro Hungarian rings, has ornate decoration down the sides. It is a statement ring and is an excellent example of its type, especially with that delicious ruby in the middle.

It looks beautiful on the finger, as you can see, with the face measuring approx 2.3cm in height. The ring size is approx UK size Q (approx US 8.25). A wonderful design is a larger sized ring, which is super. In excellent order with just light wear in line with her age. She is a keeper!

I shall send in a new ring box to keep her safe. Boxes in the images are for display only. I shall send by Special Delivery within the UK or else by International tracked and signed. Thank you.
