Description

A very unusual and oh so pretty antique Edwardian amethysts necklace, c1910. It features two wonderfully-cut amethysts-the first is a round double rose cut and the second is on the drop, a briolette cut stone. What separates this beautiful design from the other lavaliers I have seen from the same era, is the fabulous silver filigree design on one side of the large central stone, which is repeated in the silver cap on the briolette stone too.

These are pale lilac amethysts and are a very good match to each other. They have clearly been exquisitely cut as they both bounce light around so easily. I adore that you can wear the pendant either way, with the filigree design visible or else with the super sparkly rose cut visible-2 necklaces in one. In excellent condition, both the silver work and the stones. The pendant section measures approx 6cm in height and the chain measures approx 39.5cm (15.5 inches in length). Original chains too. There are silver stamps on one of the jump rings but they are too tiny to read. It is a lovely antique piece which will make someone smile.

I shall post in a new gift box (boxes in the images are for display only) and post by complimentary Tracked and Signed delivery. Thank you.
