Description
A beautiful antique 15ct gold bracelet dating from the early decades of the twentieth century. The links are wonderful, having a claw-set turquoise at their centres and a rectangular panel of gold fused to either side. The links have then been attached to their neighbours by double loops of gold. This gives it a really sinuous movement as it drapes to your wrist.
I love the look of this rare bracelet, as the design is a little different and it also means it is wider than most antique bracelets of its type. The rectangular cut-out panels to each link seem almost hand-crafted, which is another reason this bracelet stands out from the crowd. I also love the pleasingly wide gold box clasp and the gold tongue with the gold button to depress. It is a well put-together piece. It is a gorgeous thing on the wrist as you can see.
Difficult to date, as there are no stamps but from the clasp, I am guessing 1910-1920s as it feels like an Edwardian piece. No stamps but the gold has been tested. It measures approx 1.5cm wide and approx 18cm in length (just over 7 inches). In very good condition – I can see one small double loop replacement (you cannot see this unless scrutinising carefully) but all else is fine. It weighs approx 11.1g.
I shall send her safely stored in her own new bracelet box, by Special Delivery within the UK or else by Express courier internationally. Boxes in the images are for display only. Thank you.
