Description

A really sparkly and impressive Art Deco ring, c1930s, which is so typical of the genre. A wonderful, pale beautifully-faceted and claw-set oval amethyst sits at the centre of the design. It is surrounded by a thin halo of tiny marcasites, all shimmering and catching the light. Then there is a step down, with a further fluted halo of slightly larger marcasites.

This is such an attractive ring, with oodles of sparkle and glamour. A typically British Art Deco ring, this is comfortable to wear and has all stones, present and correct. It is approx UK size N.5 (US 6.75). The face of the ring measures approx 2cm so it makes a fabulous statement on the finger. I love this plum colour of amethyst, add to that that it has been beautifully-faceted and it is a winner.

In super condition, the only noteworthy point being that I noticed a tiny patch of “unpolished” silver on the band half way down. Minimal and looks like it is a manufacturing quirk. Not noticeable as you wear the ring but mentioned for accuracy purposes. I will send in a new gift box (not the box in the images) by Tracked and Signed delivery. Thank you!
