Description

A very beautiful Arts and Crafts pendant c1910, superbly executed with a flower, leaves and clusters of berries naturalistic design. This piece is most likely the hand crafted work of one of the English Guilds, as the quality is excellent.

It is very rare to find such an A&C piece from the period with a statement piece of Angel Skin coral. The rosy, peachy colour makes a lovely change from the usual pearls and turquoise used in abundance in the era. Even the bale has been crafted by hand. The central flower design at the top of the pendant is striking, as are the stylised heart shaped leaves flanking each side of the flower.

Clusters of three berries adorn the pendant, again, very typical of the Arts and Crafts designs of that era. If you turn over the pendant, you will see the excellent finish and neatness in this designer’s work.

A little patina remains on the silver on the pendant and I will leave it as I think it enhances the look of the piece. Feel free to decide when you see it yourself. The pendant drop is approx 3.8cm.

In excellent condition, I will ship her with complimentary tracked and signed mail, in a new gift box as the boxes in the images are for display only. Thank you.
