Description
A very pretty Belle Epoque pendant from the c1910 era and which appears to be a German piece. It is stamped “800” on the verso for the silver often used in that era. I love the fan shape central section that has both diamond pastes and an amethyst paste central stone.
The pendant is well-articulated, being in three sections. The main section is reminiscent of a flower head and also has leaves at the bottom. All of the outline is studded with pastes and there are individually set pastes interspersed in the design too. Unusually, there are side chains, hinting at the festoon style of that era, which was so popular. The chains add further to the articulation.
A matching pear-shaped amethyst paste is suspended on the drop and like its matching paste in the main section, the setting has been finely millegrained. The original and matching bale is still attached and it too, is studded with pastes. The pendant measures approx 5.4cm from the top of the bale to the bottom of the drop. In pleasing condition and ready for you to wear with one of your chains.
I will send by complimentary tracked and signed post in a new gift box as the box in the images is for display only. Thank you.
