Description

A beautiful Arts and crafts design c1900-1910 which encapsulates, so many of the design motifs of the era. This “all original” pendant necklace has its original silver chains and original barrel fastener. For anyone who loves the Arts and Crafts  and Art Nouveau movements, this is a gorgeous piece to have. Stylised heart-shaped flowers are draped in each corner, with the top two being set wider apart to form the loops for the chain attachments. The two lower hearts are closer together to meet at the pearl….so much has been carefully considered here.

The main part of the form has that lovely hand hammered / planished effect and there are three faux rivets running up each side. The large, faceted pink tourmaline at the heart of this design is a wonderful example, with a lot of interest as you gaze into it. I just love pink tourmalines! How beautiful they are and how super sparkly this one is.

The long wing pearl on the drop adds that touch of articulation as you move. It is a long example so balances the whole look of the pendant really successfully, as it is a fairly large piece. The pendant (from the top loop suspended at the main chain) measures approx 8.5cm in height. The chain measures approx 41cm (16 inches) in length.

She is a beauty with both stones and silver work being in excellent order! Please note the box in the images is not included.
