Description
I love these drop Bernard Instone earrings, crafted in the c1930 era at his silverworks, Langstone. These are a little different from the usual foliate designs, in that they reflect more the Art Deco motifs of the era. There is still the leaf suggestion of course. In lovely lemon yellow enamel, that really highlights the large, faceted lemon citrines suspended at the end of each drop. They are also a documented book piece, appearing on page 165 of the literature “Bernard Instone Designer and Craftsman: the art of a jeweller” by Tracy Henriksen.
The stones are light and bounce the light around generously. They are still in original condition, with their silver screw back fittings. They measure approx 3.7cm in height, which is a lovely length to catch the eye and the light. They are marked “SILVER” on the end of each screw back mechanism. In pleasing condition with some patina, you may wish to polish further.
I will send in a new gift box as the boxes in the images are for display only. Complimentary international tracked and signed or else Special Delivery within the UK. Thank you.
