Description

A lovely, Arts and Crafts organic foliate ring c1900 and in a distinctive design with silver balls laid in a circle over the leaves. This halo design within the flower is lovely and very unusual. Remarkably, it is the same design as a silver and turquoise A&C foliate brooch I am currently selling. Highly likely they are by the same maker. A fabulous coincidence!

This lovely ring has a series of simply split leaves running around the border, with those eight silver balls forming a halo round the blister pearl. The pearl has a series of squared teeth retaining it, which look so pretty against the creamy white of the pearl. I have retained some of the patina, as I believe it adds depth to the centre of this design. Of course, if you prefer, you could simply polish it away.

An early British A&C piece in lovely condition and measuring as approx UK size K.5 (US 5.5). The face of the ring has a diameter of approx 1.7cm. No markings (as is typical for the era) but does test as sterling silver.

I shall send to you in a new ring box and by complimentary tracked and signed post. Thank you.
