Description
A well-constructed statement ring by one of the better makers of the c1900 era but unmarked, as is the case most of the times. I have seen this triple band shank a few times before, as I said on rings from the best Arts and Crafts craftspeople of the day. This is a solid, impressive ring with tremendously well-executed long leaves decorating each side of the citrine.
These stylised leaves have the central vein prominent as a silver wire overlaying the leaf shape. The oval honey citrine is beautifully-well cut, giving that lovely large flat opal shape with the eye-catching faceted sides. The stone is a beauty and at approx 1.6cm by 1.2cm, makes an impressive statement. This ring is one of the best examples I have ever come across of its type, so be assured it is a rarer piece.
The leaves are cleverly done in such a way as to give extra width to the ring as you wear it, so it covers the whole width of your finger in such a delicious way. Well-made and very comfortable to wear, as I said it is a fine quality example from the early English Arts and Crafts era.
In pristine condition (some patina) even the large citrine, this beautiful ring measures as approx a UK K (US size 5.25).
I will send by international tracked and signed or else by Special Delivery within the UK. Box is for display purposes only. Thank you!
