A 9CT gold English Edwardian fringe necklace c1910, with these faceted pink tourmalines, which shimmer and shake as the necklace moves. In all original condition with all stones present and correct (no chips). It is a lovely design.
12 circular spectacle-set tourmalines are sited on the chain of this necklace, with others being suspended below them -they range beautifully in shape from circular to oval. All in their own hand-crafted spectacle-set settings. With its lovely original gold chain and hand crafted S type fastener, it is a joy to look at and to wear. These dark pink tourmalines catch the light so easily and the drops enable the articulation of this piece to swing into action as soon as you move.
I love the tiny =, gold button caps that appear on the links around the stones. Such a tiny touch to lift the design so much more. The length of the chain is approx 41.5cm (16.25 inches). The height of the longest drop is approx 1.6cm.
In pleasing condition-all stones present and intact, thankfully and just light wear to them. Under the loupe I can see evidence of a tiny repair and solder now and then, but expertly done and not visible with the naked eye. I shall post by Tracked and Signed and in a new gift box to keep her safe. Boxes in the images are for display only, thank you.
