Description

A very attractive vertical line pendant from the c1910 Edwardian era, which sings in its lightness of materials and designs. So very typical for Edwardian design. On an integral, fine gold chain, the pendant section is in two articulated parts.

The larger, round faceted and super sparkly aquamarine shows that typical pale green to blue colour, which is so sought after, particularly in jewellery from this era. Below the round stone is suspended an elongated drop, which is studded with 5 natural seed pearls. At the end of the drop is found a matching tear-drop shaped aquamarine, also in a fine mille grain setting and also, super sparkly. There is a completeness and a balance about this pleasing design.

It is not a clunky piece but a fine and petite piece suitable for just that special outfit or a wedding. It really encapsulates the tastes of the Edwardian era and I am sure it will be loved.

The drop from the top of the first aquamarine to the bottom of the second aquamarine on the drop, is approx 4.2cm. Aquamarines and gold have been tested.
