Description

A wonderfully sleek and elegant antique opal ring with a beautifully lively opal flashing a range of colours from blue to green to orange to purple to red. Difficult to see in the images but it is such a colourful stone (possibly a Boulder opal). When on the finger the base shade is a vivid turquoise. Stamped with the English “18 CT” stamp on the inside of the band, I believe it was created in the Edwardian era, c1910.

I love the simplicity of the design, with that double gallery and those six claws holding the stone in place. Although substantial in its gold work, it puts the focus pure and simply on this lovely stone, as it should be. It is a longer, more navette-shaped opal so it runs down your finger somewhat in a very flattering manner. The stone measures approx 1.6cm by 0.8cm. In pleasing condition and as said, flashes colours easily so will be a joy to wear.
Approx UK size N.5 (US approx 6.75 to 7). The ring weighs 3.8g.

I shall send her in a new ring gift box by complimentary international courier or else by special delivery within the UK. Boxes in the images are for display only-thank you.
