Description
What a sumptuously rare design crafted in stamped 9ct gold. This beautiful necklace dates from the c1910 era and also, pleasingly, carries an Edwardian “9CT” stamp to the verso of the main section of the pendant. It is such a rarity and is in wonderful condition.
There is an air of the Belle Epoque and Empire about the lined horizontal bar and lined circle in the main structure of the piece. Indeed the circular section is suspended by gold links from the horizontal bar. Beneath the first bezel set peridot, a further link suspends the three staggered drop section with the central pearl set chain being longer than those either side of it. There are three fabulous and well-matched peridots of a lovely pale apple green, and five seed pearls in total. There is an elegance to this pendant necklace and there is movement when it is worn because of the drops and articulated links.
She is a superior example of an Edwardian pendant necklace and has been superbly crafted. The pendant section measures approx 4.1cm in height and the wearable length of the 9ct gold chain is approx 38.5cm (approx 15.25 inches). Ready to wear and in superb condition.
I will send by express courier internationally or else by special delivery within the UK. Boxes in the images are not included but I will present the necklace in a new gift box. Thank you.
