A beautiful design on this antique Edwardian festoon necklace, which has both fixed solid silver links, as well as the usual fine trace chain links you usually see. It is already such a fabulous design and this is only heightened by the amazing pale citrines used in the design. They range from super pale lemon to almost clear….wonderful.
Eight pale yellow to nearly clear faceted, citrines have been bezel set in the design, with the largest suspended centrally in the lower drop of the necklace. I adore all shades of citrine but is fairly infrequent to come across such fabulously pale lemon citrines-love them! Each has been carefully faceted by hand so that it bounces the light around the network of stones laid out in this lovely design. Such an evocative piece, which resonates still for us today. The two long fixed links add such a special touch and really allow the main drop to move around freely.
All stones are in excellent order and all is in original condition, asides from the bolt ring catch, which is likely a more recent replacement. The largest citrine in the lowest drop measures approx 1.2cm by 1cm. The pendant drop section measures approx 4.1cm and the length of the chain is approx 42.5cm (16.75 inches).
I shall send in a new gift box as the boxes in the images are for display only. Complimentary tracked and signed is included-special delivery within the UK. Thank you.
