Description
A sensational rare-to-the-market Dorrie Nossiter Arts and Crafts bracelet from c1930 with a wonderful mix of citrines, aquamarines and pearls. It is a heady, joyful mix of gems and the full beauty of the bracelet is difficult to capture on a photo. Complete gem-set Dorrie bracelets like this are so very rare to find today so she is a rarity. In wonderful condition too-with no damage to any of the stones-hurrah!
Every part of this sumptuous bracelet is covered in gems, even down the the gilded box clasp, which has a smaller version of the design on the main panel, with the same stones. I love that thought about the completeness of the design, which Dorrie brought to her work. It is a glorious bracelet and if you feel like wearing an arm full of gems, then this is the girl for you. It is a secure bracelet to wear too, as it still retains its gilded metal arm safety clasp, just to give extra piece of mind when worn. You would not want to lose her!
I adore the use of so many shaped and faceted stones and the way the aquamarines and citrines alternate in the links of the bracelet. That main citrine stone is huge, at approx 2.1cm by 1.9cm. The stones are all in superb condition. What a wow of a bracelet!
An exceptional piece and surely one for collectors, the bracelet measures approx 18cm (7 inches) in length. The central panel measures approx 3.6cm by 3.3cm.
I shall send boxed, by complimentary Special Delivery within the UK or else by express courier internationally.
