Probably one of the most beautiful antique hand-crafted Arts and Crafts flower bouquet pieces I have come across and undoubtedly a one-off creation. Fabulously hand-crafted with every strike of the tools being there to see. It reminds me of Mary Thew’s work, although I have not yet seen such pointed leaves in her designs. Beautifully designed and using cabochon garnets, chrysoprase and blue chalcedonies as the snowdrop type of flowers. I tried it with the chain running behind the pin, as a pendant and it makes a fabulous WOW statement!
The leaves have been hammered and worked in such an incredibly organic way. The “bouquet” is tied with silver wire on the stalks. It is in excellent condition with all stones being perfect. A large piece measuring approx 8cm in length by 4.9cm wide. She wears beautifully, both as a brooch and as a pendant. I will include the modern silver chain free of charge if you like-just let me know.
