A truly scarce thing! A superb antique 18ct gold and platinum ring, which is in an impressive cross design. The old cut mine diamonds are of a good size, with the central stone being a half a carat. There are 7 old cut diamonds in total, with a total weight of approx 1.5ct. This fabulous ring has been appraised and polished by a jeweller, who is a member of the UK’s National Association of Jewellers. As well as confirming all metals and stones, they have appraised the value as £4,300.
The ring has a fine 18ct gold band, with the front of the ring and settings having been crafted throughout in platinum. Each stone has been set by hand in its own platinum, square, filigree setting. The stones are old mine diamonds and are European old-cut. The ring does make for an impressive statement on the finger and there is a surprising amount of sparkle from each of these old-cut diamonds. The central stone in particular is domed quite a way out of its setting so has a good size to it.
This is a versatile statement ring of superb quality-I can see it as a “rock star” ring; it is vivacious and makes quite the statement, however, I can also see it being a heart-felt symbol of someone’s love of their faith. You hardly ever find these antique crosses and to have a good diamond weight too, just adds to the instant allure of this beautiful ring. I love it and know that whoever is the lucky recipient will also love it dearly. It’s a keeper!
The diamonds are bright, sparkly and well-matched. As you can see, they are also of a good size to be seen individually. The design is pure decadence, whilst being tasteful at the same time. You simply cannot help studying this beauty every time she goes on your finger.
The ring measures approx as a UK size N.5 (US approx size 6.75 -7). In super condition, having just been professionally polished, and ready to wear or else to gift to a lucky recipient. Who would not love this fabulous ring! Jeweller’s valuation is for £4,300, although in reality, you hardly ever come across antique cross rings of this presence. It is a rarity.
I shall send in a new gift box by complimentary express courier internationally of else by special delivery within the UK. Box in the images is for display only. Thank you.
