A fabulous, wide cuff bangle of Finnish Modernism design and clearly stamped for the year 1966. It has clear maker’s marks for the celebrated jewellery company of Kalevala Koru, with the distinctive double k mark inside a circle.
This is one of the most beautiful cuff bracelets I have come across, with a truly simple yet elegant design, which still looks contemporary for us today. Scandinavian silver jewellery with understated, clear lines like this is always in huge demand. They are classic pieces that do not seem to date in their design.
This wide cuff retains its circular shape really well and features three cut out sections on the front half of the bangle. It looks like four parallel silver bars across the design. The rest of the cuff is solid, without cut-outs. I have tried to capture its elegance on the images so hopefully you can see how lovely it is. It measures approx 3.3cm in width and the inside of the cuff measures approx 6.5cm. It JUST fits me…as there is no give in the piece and it is wide-it could be difficult to manoeuvre your hand into. Please check the measurements to ensure it will fit you. I have average to small wrists and it’s fine for me. Some light wear as you would expect but pleasing condition for her age really.
I shall send in a new gift box to keep her safe. Boxes in images are for display only. I will send by complimentary tracked and signed post. Thank you.
