Description

This is an exquisite, finely executed bracelet, most likely from Pforzheim in Germany late 1920s, very much in the Art Deco style. The stones are exceptional-not only in their range of colours, from lavender chalcedony to mid-blue chalcedony, but also in the exceptional cuts which makes my mind zoom straight to lapidaries in Germany. It is a beauty of a piece, much much finer than the vast majority of similar Deco bracelets you see on the market.

The precise and fine geometric patterns, decorated with tiny, sparkling marcasites is another indicator that this unmarked bracelet is surely from the Pforzheim area-it is of such beautiful quality. The shape of the eight sided bezel settings are replicated by the facets cut in the stone-so are a kind of emerald cut; flat, glossy stones in wonderful condition. The light bounces right off the stones and those copious glittering marcasites so it really does catch the eye.

The range of blues and the lovely sinuous movement of this bracelet help to make it a dream to wear. A beautiful thing with its original tongue and concealed box clasp, complete with its safety arm for extra security when worn. If you have looked at this type of design in Art Deco bracelets previously, this example will be a superlative buy because of the fineness of its materials and execution. It measures approx 1cm wide and is approx 18.5cm (7.25 inches) long. A beauty in excellent condition.

I shall post by complimentary tracked and signed in a bracelet box. (boxes in the images are for display only) Thank you.
