Description

A fully signed Murrle Bennett pendant from the c1900 era, which has those distinctive features of hand hammered silver work, faux rivets and luckily (on this example anyway) a central mother of pearl set in a gold setting. I adore the finely millegrained edge to the gold setting. The gold always looks amazing next to mother-of-pearl.
The pendant also has its original baroque pearl drop, which seems to be lost along the way on so many of these lovely MB pendants. These Murrle Bennett pieces do at times, blur the lines of Art Nouveau and Arts and Crafts styles. They are always a popular find, especially signed MB pieces.

The pendant is signed “950” (quality of silver higher than sterling) and also with the “MBo” maker’s mark. The listing is for the pendant only although it has a large bale so would accommodate a whole host of chain types from your existing collection. If it is for a gift and you need a chain-please contact me about it and I will see if I can help.
The pendant measures approx 4.5cm in height and is in pleasing condition with just a little patina adding depth to the planished (hammered) silver.

I shall send by complimentary Special Delivery within the UK or else by International Tracked and Signed. If you need it quickly-please contact me about upgrading to Express international courier. I shall package in a new gift box as the box in the images is for display only. Thank you.
