NOW RESERVED *********Thank you.

A lovely, large statement pendant by Murrle Bennett, designed and made c1905. It is clearly signed as it should be, with “950” and “MBo”. It is a larger pendant and most likely designed by Wilhelm Fuhner, being a hand hammered piece, with faux rivets and turquoise. It also carries a tiny French silver mark to the front (top right) so my guess is she was imported to France after she was created and has lived a life there!

The beautiful central plaque has a large matrix turquoise, which is beautifully tactile and set in its own hand worked bezel collar. A pair of faux rivets flank each side of the stone and there are two stylised Jugendstil handles / features above  them, which reflect the style of the era perfectly. The fixed pearl dangler is original which is so good to see as these are so often missing, having been replaced by more modern pearls out-of-character to the rest of the piece.

It comes with the lovely old silver chain of the same era and which has had a replacement catch at some point in its life.

The pendant is in excellent order and measures approx 4.5cm in height, including the bale. The chain is approx 45cm (17.5) inches in length. Both retain a little patina so feel free to polish further if you prefer.

I will include a new gift box for this lovely thing, as the box in the images is for display only. Thank you!
