Description

Such a sensational and hand crafted beauty of a ring ( a real statement piece of jewellery) from the highly celebrated Scottish designer, Norman Grant. Grant, who is now sadly no longer with us, was born in 1943. He studied silversmithing and initially started producing his designs in his own garden shed. His work quickly became sought after, and he started showcasing his designs in Libertys, Harrods etc. His work was worn by many of the stars from the 1970s onwards, such as Billy Connolly, Mick Jagger, Sandy Shaw et al. His work remains even more fiercely sought-after and is viewed essentially as pieces of art – no wonder, as they are so amazing.

Assayed with full Edinburgh hallmarks for 1971, and with the clear maker’s mark for Grant “NG”, you can feel the hand crafted nature of the work as you hold it. I think it is a wonderful piece….I have included a photo of the ring together with its “purple twin”. This listing is for the orange ring. They are stunning aren’t they!!!!

This extravagant flower ring is bright, joyful and just makes you smile, every time you look at it. The colour combination is lovely glossy oranges with a touch of mauve / pale lilac the closer you get to the centre of the flower. Sensational.

The flower has an approximate diameter of 2.8cm so it makes quite the statement when worn.
In lovely condition and ready to wear or gift. UK size N / US size 6.75.
