Well, this must be the most substantial natural aquamarine ring I have ever come across. The design is incredible, like a star shooting upwards from your finger. It is, most likely mid-century / 1960s and it was created in France. It has full French stamps on the ring band and the maker’s mark (most likely in Paris) but which is too tiny for me to read. It is undoubtedly a bespoke ring, crafted with a magnificent pale 23ct aquamarine that shifts from pale green to pale blue. The sparkle from this beautiful stone is otherworldly! The ring comes with an independent jeweller’s appraisal, valuing it at £3,500. (The jeweller is an accredited member of the UK’s National Association of Jewellers)
I adore the true pale colours of this stone, as they are subtle (as they should be) and show those pale green and blue hues in different lights. The cut of the stone is breathtaking and I hope you can glimpse on the video, the amount of light that bounces around on this fabulous ring. A lot of 9ct gold has been used on the construction of the triple band, extended shoulders and the bespoke cage to house the stone safely. I also love the many tiny claws which keep the stone secure, as well as looking beautiful against the aquamarine. It is a lovely thing.
IF you are looking for a statement ring-to be seen and noticed, then this is for you. I also love that the aquamarine has a lovely subtle colour range-you can simply sit and gaze in wonder at that fabulous stone.
