A beautiful c1900 hand crafted statement rock crystal pendant, which is surely a one-off design. The detail to both sides is excellent, with the verso also having little blue enamel panels, matching the design on the front. A carefully considered piece that I suspect may be from one of the Birmingham School, due to the vivid cobalt blue enamel and those little silver balls in strategic places. I did wonder whether it could be a George Hunt design.

The bale is very distinctive as it resembles an industrial cog design – so unusual. Perhaps someone may recognise that design touch. This is a sleek, stout and beautifully effervescent piece of jewellery. Those little touches of striking blue enamel, framing the round rock crystal stone, in a squareish design, are wonderful. Again the placement of those silver balls is extremely indicative of the c1900 British Arts and Crafts designers. The rock crystal is large, cut beautifully and throws the light around easily. It is in excellent order and for a piece with such age to have a super stone and enamel in wonderful condition, is really a rarity.

The pendant measures approx 3.9cm from the cog to the bottom of the design. There is a more modern silver trace chain, which I will include free of charge. It measures approx 45cm (a touch over 17.5 inches).

I will send in a new gift box as the box in the images is for display only. Thank you!
