Beautiful Danish 1970s modernism earrings, fully signed by B. Margossian of Copenhagen, Denmark. He worked in Copenhagen in the 70s and I have not been able to find much work of his at all, set with stones like this. In fact the striking settings to the amazonite cabochons are just lovely! I have acquired bracelet, necklace, earrings and brooch…if you are looking for a parure-please do drop me a line before one of them sells and we can discuss a collective price. (final picture shows the set) Very rare to have a full set like this!
I love the fact that these earrings are so organic in design, like two large leaves draped around the stone / the flower representation. The striking, large, jagged teeth in the stones’ settings are wonderful. The green of the amazonite cabochons looks great against the silver. Lovely, dynamic dangle earrings with their original screw backs.
Each earring measures approx 4cm in length and are stamped once with the “STERLING BM DENMARK” stamp on the reverse of the main earring and then again on the cap on the screwbacks with “STERLING DENMARK” In super order – stones excellent too.
